This vintage Mary McFadden A-line skirt is crafted from her renowned Marii fabric—the same luxurious material she used for her iconic gowns. Inspired by Italy's Fortuny pleated silk, McFadden developed a unique crinkle pleat effect using polyester sourced from Australia. Although Fortuny’s silk pleats remained unmatched and his technique undisclosed, Mary achieved a similar texture with her innovative fabric, dyed in Japan and tailored in the USA. Dry clean only.
